Review Set Penjagaan Kulit Bluebell Skincare – jenama lokal yang tidak harus dipandang enteng kualitinya.

Pencuci muka merupakan langkah pertama dalam penjagaan kulit. Ianya merupakan langkah asas dalam penjagaan kulit. Seperti mana yang kita tahu, dalam rutin penjagaan kulit asas terdapat 3 langkah iaitu MENCUCI, MELEMBAB DAN PERLINDUNGAN.

Pencuci muka ni boleh digunakan setiap hari. Malah selamat untuk digunakan 2 kali sehari. Caranya mudah je. Tuang secukup pencuci muka ke atas tapak tangan dan campur sedikit air dan buihkan. Urut pada muka dengan gerakan berputar selama 1 minit. Kemudian bilas bersih.

Masa mula-mula nak pakai Bluebell Cleanser With Salicylic Acid & Glycolic Acid ni, Nik cuak juga sebab kulit Nik masa tu tengah meragam. Kalau boleh nak elak menggunakan produk skincare yang mengandungi mana-mana exfoliation acid. Tapi bila yakinkan diri yang acid sebenarnya bagus untuk kulit yang breakout. Lagipun, acid dalam cleanser tak sempat nak bertindak secara intensive seperti serum. Jadi, Nik yakinkan diri untul cuba.
Selepas beberapa hari mencuba, Nik dapati, masalah jerawat beransur pulih. Kulit yang nampak merah-merah, dah tak nampak obvious sangat. Jerawat juga mulai kecut sikit demi sedikit.
Tekstur cleanser jenis gel yang mudah untuk disebatikan dengan air, berbuih halus, gebu,mewah dan lembut. Bagi yang sukakan pencuci muka berbuih mewah, korang patut cuba Bluebell Cleanser With Salicylic Acid & Glycolic Acid ni.

Selain itu juga, cleanser ni juga mudah untuk dibersihkan tanpa meninggalkan rasa film-y atau seperti ada lapisan pada kulit. Namun tidak juga membuatkan kulit rasa seperti squeaky clean.
Walaupun cleanser ini mengandungi 2 jenis acid, namun ianya tidak membuatkan kulit rasa kering, ketat atau tegang selepas menggunakannya. Malahan, kulit rasa lembut lagi halus je lepas tu.

Nik suka sangat dengan Bluebell Hydrating Face Mist sebab ianya bukan sahaja face mist tapi juga boleh digunakan sebagai toner sebab face mist so hydrating. Mula-mula ingatkan macam face mist yang selalu Nik guna tapi rupanya tidak. Bluebell Hydrating Face Mist juga best kerana Nik tak perlu spray banyak kali. Sekadar 2 atau 3 kali semburan dah cukup untuk whole face. Semburan face mist yang lebar dan sekata. Dalam face mist ni juga mengandungi beberapa bahan humectant seperti Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice dan Apple Fruit Extract yang akan membekalkan hidrasi kepada kulit.

Wash and pat skin dry. Apply small amount of Bluebell Radiance Serum to face, neck and decollete. Allow to dry before applying Bluebell Night Moisturiser. Even direction tulis lepas pakai serum, pakai night moisturiser tapi Nik tetap pakai juga serum ni siang hari. 3 ke 4 drops dah cukup dah.

Dalam serum ni ada Menthol dan bagi kulit yang jenis mudah sensitised atau skin dia tak boleh bertoleransi dengan Menthol, Nik nasihatkan untuk skip pakai serum yang ada essential oil ketika skin barrier kulit masih lagi belum pulih. Just my 2 cent. Tapi kalau skin tak ada masalah mudah iritasi, boleh je nak guna macam biasa.

Tekstur Bluebell Radiance Serum yang cair, ringan dan cepat meresap ke dalam kulit tanpa ada meninggalkan kesan melekit atau berminyak. Cukup selesa pada kulit dan tak buat kulit rasa berat.

Selain itu juga, Bluebell Radiance Serum ni best sebab mengandungi Kojic Acid dan Licorice Extract. 2 bahan ni sememangnya powerful ingredients yang dapat menolong dalam mencerahkan kulit, memudarkan parut gelap disamping memudarkan bintik-bintik hitam. Jarang nak jumpa produk penjagaan kulit dari jenama tempatan yang boleh bertindak sebagai pelembab dan juga sebagai sunscreen. Kalau ada pun, tidak menepati criteria dan citarasa Nik.

Actually memang boleh pelembab berSPF dijadikan sebagai pelindung tabir suria atau mudah disebut sebagai sunscreen ni. Asalkan jumlah product yang hendak dipakai tu mencukupi atau sama banyak dengan jumlah saranan sunscreen yang harus dipakai. Tapi ada sesetengah produk, bila disapu dengan banyak, ianya akan buat kulit rasa tidak selesa.

Bluebell Daily Defence Moisturiser With SPF 30 PA+++ merupakan pelembab juga sunscreen. Teksturnya pekat berwarna putih, namun terasa ringan bila disapu pada kulit. Tidak berbau wangi walaupun dalam ingredients list ada fragrance. Bila disapu pada kulit, pelembab ini mudah untuk diratakan.

Dari segi whitecast, Bluebell Daily Defence Moisturiser
With SPF 30 PA+++ mempunyai sedikit kesan whitecast. Kesan putih ni kalau letak pada skala 1 hingga 10, ianya berada pada skala 1. Memang sedikit sangat kesan whitecast itu. Jadi mereka yang berkulit gelap, tak perlu risau atau takut untuk mencuba Bluebell Daily Defence Moisturiser
With SPF 30 PA+++ kerana ianya tidak akan buatkan muka nampak kelabu. Kesan whitecast ni datang daripada bahan Titanium Dioxide.

Selama tempoh Nik try Bluebell Daily Defence Moisturiser With SPF 30 PA+++ ni, tak kira diwaktu cuaca panas mahupun sejuk, ianya selesa pada kulit. Tak buatkan kulit nampak berminyak atau rasa greasy bila berpeluh. Finishing Bluebell Daily Defence Moisturiser With SPF 30 PA+++ ni jenis semi matte. Skin tak nampak too matte atau too dewy. Oily skin definitely love it!

Tambahan pula, Nik banyak meluangkan masa di rumah sahaja. Jadi SPF30 sudah memadai. Bluebell Daily Defence Moisturiser juga turut dilengkapi dengan perlindungan bukan sahaja dari sinar UVB malah dari sinar UVA.

Resipi Nasi Ayam Basic Mudah Sedap Kenyang

Tiba-tiba terasa nak makan nasi ayam. Tapi taknak makan yang beli punya sebab jarang jumpa yang betul-betul sedap. Kadang-kadang bila beli dapat yang sup kosong rasa macam takde rasa je, ayam terlalu kering, nasi tak rasa macam nasi ayam.

Sebenarnya teringin nak makan nasi ayam sebab teringat dekat iklan pati ayam jenama Maggi beberapa tahun yang lepas. Rasanya iklan tu dalam 10 ke 15 tahun dah. Lebih kurang macam tu la. Lama sangat dah iklan tu. Dalam iklan tu guna stok pati ayam yang dalam botol tu untuk buat asas nasi ayam.

Try jugak cari semula iklan tu dekat Youtube tapi tak jumpa.

Jadi kali ni Nik nak share resepi Nasi Ayam yang biasa Nik buat. Ada orang cakap renyah nak buat nasi ayam ni tapi kalau dah nak makan sangat, tak rasa pun cara buat tu renyah. Hilang penat memasak bila keluarga cakap sedap.

Nasi Ayam. Makan begitu sahaja pun sedap.

Resepi Nasi Ayam Basic Mudah Sedap. Ini sukatan resepi untuk family 3 ke 4 orang makan.

Bahan A: Nasi Ayam
3 cawan beras – basuh bersih
4 ulas bawang putih – ketuk kasar²
1 helai daun pandan – ikat simpul
1cm Halia – hiris nipis
2 sudu besar margerin
1 kiub pati ayam
Air secukupnya

Panaskan margerin hingga cair dan tumis bawang putih, halia dan daun pandan hingga wangi dan bawang putih nampak sedikit perang. Kemudian masukkan kiub pati ayam dan sedikit air dan biarkan kiub pati ayam larut. Masukkan beras dan kacau rata baru masukkan air secukupnya. Biarkan nasi masak.

Sup Ayam:
10 ketul kaki ayam – taknak guna kaki ayam pun takpe. Guna isi ayam
5 ketul isi ayam
1 inci halia – diketuk
3ulas Bawang putih – diketuk
4 sekawan
Air secukupnya

Rebus ayam dengan bahan diatas hingga ayam masak. Asingkan sedikit air rebusan ayam untuk digunakan dalam kuah kicap dan sambal lada. Keluarkan isi ayam untuk diperap dengan sos kicap.

Baham tumis darat sup ayam:

5 ulas bawang merah
3 ulas bawang putih
½ inci halia
4 sekawan
1 kiub pati ayam
Garam
Maggi Secukup Rasa.
Minyak untuk menumis.

Tumbuk halus bawang merah, bawang putih dan halia. Panaskan minyak dan tumis 4 sekawan serta bahan tumbuk hingga garing kekuningan. Tuang bahan tumis ke dalam sup dan masak sup macam biasa. Masukkan juga kiub ayam, garam, serbuk Maggi Secukup Rasa. Tabur bawang goreng, daun sup dan daun bawang ketika menghidang.

Kuah Kicap:
1 cawan air rebusan ayam
1 hiris halia
½ cawan kicap lemak manis
1 sb sos tiram
1 helai daun pandan

Campurkan semua bahan dan masak hingga mendidih dan kuah kicap nampak sedikit pekat. Tutup api dan sejukkan.

Lebihan kuah kicap nasi ayam ni, boleh simpan dalam peti ais. Diolah untuk buat sambal kicap pun sedap

Sambal Lada:
1 cawan air rebusan ayam*
½ biji tomato*
5 tangkai cili merah*
5 tangkai cili padi hijau*
1 tangkai daun ketumbar* – optional
1 sudu besar sos tomato*
2sb cuka makan*
Garam dan gula secukup rasa

Blend halus bahan bertanda * dan tuang kedalam periuk. Masak hingga mendidih dan masukkan garam gula sesuai citarasa. Tutup api dan sejukkan.

Ayam Kicap (Goreng atau Bakar)

2sb Sos tiram

Lumur dan perap ayam seketika ayam dengan kicap dan sos tiram. Bakar atau goreng ayam. I bakar guna air fryer. Suhu 150° selama 15 – 20 minit.

Actually dah lama dah up review ni tapi Nik nak test dulu in few circumstances. Nik dah cuba use it alone, on top of liquid matte, as a lip gloss, bila bibir menggelupas sebab bibir tak serasi dengan lipstick dan macam-macam situasi lagi. Overall, I really impressed dengan kelebihan yang ada pada Fahero Lip Sleeping Mask ni.

Fahero Lip Sleeping Mask ini diperkaya dengan kebaikkan dari Minyak Bunga Matahari, Minyak Zaitun dan juga Vitamin E. Bahan-bahan ini amat terkenal dengan khasiat dalam membekalkan kelembapan kepada kulit. My lips kadang-kadang akan jadi menggelupas berkeruping jika pakai lipstick yang tak serasi. Everytime bibir jadi macam tu, Nik akan apply dulu Fahero Lip Sleeping Mask ni nipis² then baru apply lipstick. Cara ni akan elakkan bibir menggelupas dan menjadikan warna lipstick yang dipakai nampak lebih smooth.

Fahero Lip Sleeping Mask bukan sahaja membantu untuk melembabkan bibir, malah kalau guna secara consistent, bibir akan nampak lebih penuh, nampak segar dan mungil.

Texture Lip Sleeping Mask agak pekat tapi sedikit meleleh dan creamy. Bau manis strawberry yang memikat selera. Jangan pula pergi jilat bibir masa sapu lip sleeping mask ni 😂. Packaging dalam bentuk tube dengan cap jenis flip. Hygenic terjaga dan mudah digunakan. Cuma calit sikit dekat jari dan apply. Kalau nak guna spatula bibir pun bagus juga. Tak perlu sapu banyak pun. Dalam saiz sebutir kacang merah pun dah cukup dah. 1 tube ni boleh tahan berbulan-bulan.

Saiz yang comel gini sesuai untuk try. At least kalau tak serasi takde la rasa ralat sangat kannn… So far, Nik takde masalah sangat dengan kedua-dua sunscreen ni. Tapi maybe tak akan repurchase them both sebab Nik tak suka sangat finishing kedua-dua sunscreen ni on my skin. Too dewy but not greasy. Just i don’t like the finishing since it will make my skin look so oily.

Kalau ada orang tanya ada tak produk skincare yang Nik menyesal beli… MEMANG ADA!

The Ordinary Retinol 0.2% in Squalane.

Memang menyesal sangat beli. Tak best langsung pakai.

Nik pernah guna produk yang menggunakan Squalane oil dan Jojoba Oil tapi takde la rasa macam annoying sangat but this one, memang buat rasa erkkk… Taknak pakai dah.

TO Retinol ni PAO dia 3M je. Memang pendek. Kalau pakai hari-hari sempat la kot habiskan within 3M but Nik tak boleh nak habiskan.

Using combination of Squalane Oil and Jojoba Oil

Nik sempat consistent pakai dalam sebulan je lepas tu Nik stop. Sebab apa? Sebab rasa greasy yang amat. Oil dia macam tak serap dalam skin. Just sit on top of skin. Sampai husband tegur, lumur minyak masak ke kat muka sampai muka nampak berminyak kalah orang minyak ni.

Ada nampak effect tak? Unfortunately Nik tak sempat nampak apa effect bila pakai TO Retinol 0.2% in Squalane Oil ni sebab tak mampu nak pakai sampai 3 bulan.

Nik try include Retinol ni dalam simple skincare routine so the oil can penetrate into my skin well but still same. Still ada oil residue. Kalau include dalam heavy routine lagi la muka macam celup dalam minyak 😂😂😂.

Sebelum ni pernah pakai TO Retinoid 2% Emulsion and Nik rasa lagi best pakai yang dalam bentuk emulsion tu compare dengan dalam oil form.

Oil yang digunakan dalam TO Retinol ni kalau tengok memang cair, nampak macam ringan tapi oil dia macam tak serap sepenuhnya ke dalam kulit. Bila bangun pagi tu, muka totally nampak greasy yang amat.

Nik simpan TO Retinol ni dalam refrigerator as recommended by instructions.

Ops… Lupa nak bagitahu. Tiap kali pakai, Nik apply dalam 2 ke 3 drops je.

My sequence: cleanser – hydrating toner – HA serum – RETINOL – gap ½ jam – Moisturiser. Settle.

Moisturiser yang Nik pakai takde la heavy mana pun sebab still guna untuk oily skin.

CONCLUSION: Nak kena research Retinol/Retinoid yang lain pulak 😂

Usage(s)❓: Use after moisturiser. Apply an adequate amount of sunscreen all over the face.

• pastel blue coloured. Quite thick cream but not thick as other thick cream.
• water resistant. Need to use makeup remover if i want to remove this sunscreen.
• lightweight until sometimes i feel like i don’t wear sunscreen
• didn’t clog my pores as this sunscreen claim it’s suitable for oily combination skin.
• Quite Moisturising. i even skip applying Moisturiser and wear sunscreen alone. I found it able to Moisturise my skin well.
• finishing – fresh glow with slightly matte look. But not like powdery matte.
• takes time to perfectly set on skin. At beginning, it feels like slightly velvety oily when i touch. But after this sunscreen set on skin, it has smooth silky but not oily finish.
• it’s also goes well with my makeup (i wear light make-up and it give nice canvas)
• easy to blend.
• has slightly whitecast effect
• it has soft powdery Potpourri like scent (‘bau macam bunga rampai’ gitu)
• however, my skin turn oily at my t-zone area, greasy and feel little bit uncomfortable especially during hot weather day. So, i know i need to remove and reapply again.
• takes time to set. Upon application, it feel so greasy like take forever to set but after 2 to 3 minutes, its set well.
• but I found better way to apply this sunscreen. Apply it layer by layer so that sunscreen can absorb well.
• but I can’t deny, this Sunscreen very powerful to protect my skin. I tested it when i picnic at beach, my skin didn’t get burned or tan.
• Gladly this sunscreen didn’t sting my eye 🥺

Pros❓: Safe to use for acne prone skin.

Cons❓: Quite pricey. Maybe.

SAMBAL BELACAN PADU

Bau semerbak belacan, rasa pedas berdesing, makin dimakan makin rasa ketagih. Makin lama simpan makin sedap.

Bahan-bahan:

20 tangkai cili padi
2 inci belacan – dibakar
1sb gula
1sk garam
Ajinomoto
Cuka
Limau nipis

Cara-cara:
1. Tumbuk cili + belacan hingga separa lumat. Yang ni ikut suka la. Nak tumbuk halus atau kasar.
2. Bila cili dengan belacan dan lumat, masukkan gula, garam, aji. Tumbuk kasar².
3. Masukkan cuka secukupnya dan gaul sebati. I gaul dengan alu lesung je. Kalau nak sambal belacan pekat, letak sikit je cuka. Kalau nak sambal belacan jenis cair, tuang cuka biar lebih.
4. Perah sikit limau nipis dan kacau rata. Dalam setengah biji dah cukup. Buang biji limau dulu baru perah.
5. Lepas tu try rasa supaya rasa masin, manis pedas seia sekata ikut selera.

Mula2 sambal belacan akan rasa seperti sedikit pahit. Biarkan dulu sambal belacan dalam ½ jam ke 1 jam. Lepas tu rasa sambal belacan akan okay.

Simpan dalam peti ais agar sambal belacan tahan lebih lama.

Sambal belacan lebih sedap kalau tumbuk berbanding dengan kisar guna mesin pengisar.

Resepi asal Mamak Haji

Bahan A:
1 cwn gula
1 cwn air panas

– masak gula hinggam menjadi gula hangus tapi jangan sampai terlalu hangus. Nanti pahit.
– kemudian tuang 1cawan air panas. Tuang dengan perlahan-lahan.
-masak semula hingga gula sampai larut semua.
-Padamkan api, biarkan sebentar.

Bahan B:
3 biji telur gred B
1cwn gula(klu tak suka manis boleh kurangkan kpd ¾ cawan)
1 sudu teh esen vanilla atau boleh jugak guna daun pandan
Secubit garam (untuk naik kan rasa manis dan rasa lemak santan)

-blend semua bahan2 di atas (kecuali daun pandan) sampai gula hancur dan telur sedikit kembang.

Bahan C:
1 kotak santan 200ml(boleh guna santan segar yang pekat)
1 kotak air ( guna kotak santan)
2 sudu besar tepung jagung

-campur dan kacau hingga sebati.

CARA MEMBUAT SERI KAYA

• Panaskan gula karamel tadi.
• masukkan daun pandan, garam sikit, dan bahan2 yg telah diblend,kacau hingga sebati dan nampak pekat.

• masukkan pula santan yg telah dicampurkan dgn tepung jagung.
• Kacau hingga pekat dan berkilat dgn api yang slow. • Kacau selalu supaya dekat dasar periuk tidak berkerak.

Dah nak masak. Elakkan masak seri kaya hingga terlalu pekat sebab bila seru kaya sejuk, ia akan jadi makin pekat.

• Pastikan jgn sampai hangus dekat dasar periuk.
• Tutup api dan kacau lagi selama seminit dua untuk elakkan serikaya berkerak didasar periuk.
• Siap dan sejukkan sebelum disimpan dalan peti ais.

*In shaa Allah tahan lebih kurang 2 minggu (simpan kat peti ais)

Bila dah akan nampak begini. Bila sejuk, seri kaya akan jadi lebih pekat.

• It’s watery and of course fast absorb into skin. This ampoule suitable for layering method since it light and fast penetrate into skin.
• Even it has watery consistency, but this ampoule has a little viscosity. You can see the texture in the video.
• Why i love doing layering with this ampoule? Because i found it didn’t feel tacky at all. I can layer the ampoule as much as i need.
• The finishing of this ampoule, giving soft smooth touch skin
• I also noticed that it helps to reduce redness at my acne. I love picking my acne .
• Lessen my PIE appearance due to over exfoliating (few days ago i harshly scrubbing my face)
• It also help to adding hydration to my skin.

Usage(s)❓: Small amount just enough to provide hydration and moisturisation for skin.

• Gel like moisturiser that will instantly moisturise my skin.
• Take some time to penetrate into my skin. Not as fast as i thought.
• I don’t need use much as small amount of this moisturiser enough to moisturise perfectly my skin.
• I once tried doing layering with this moisturiser but it turns out my skin feel so heavy and suffocated. So, my conclusion is, you need little amount only.
• It gives fresh, moisturised healthy looking skin without feel greasy or tacky or slippery once this moisturiser absorb well.
• My face felt a little bit cool (or cold. Something like that) after applying this moisturiser.
• For night time, i will apply a little bit extra since I’m sleeping in air conditioning room. Sometimes i mix with my facial oil for deep yet intense moisturisation.
• This moisturiser also didn’t make my face look and feel greasy when I’m sweating.
• However after around 2 to 3 hours, my skin feels and looks slightly oily when it touched but i didn’t feel tight inside my skin.
• Sometimes it feels a little hot at my face when applying this moisturizer. Can’t figured out why this happened. But it won’t last long.

• Noticeable minty like scent probably from Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil.
• I felt slightly cool during application. Great to use during summer or hot sunny day.
• No dripping essence so i don’t need to worry for essence drip at my neck area.
• No extra essence balance left.
• MAJOR LOVE because after i discard mask, patting balance essence on my face, it FAST ABSORB INTO SKIN WITHOUT FEELING STICKY OR TACKY.
• This mask great for instant skin hydration. My skin felt so hydrated.

One Thing?? What is One Thing? Why One Thing?

Many skincare friends of mine hyping and raving about One Thing. At first i was blur what is One Thing? Why one thing? What’s so special about One Thing until they bought many varian of One Thing’s product?

All this happened until i was given chance by One Thing Malaysia to try one of their product which is Houttuynia Cordata Extract. Happy? Excited? OF COURSE!

One Thing is named because they ore using ONLY ONE SINGLE MAIN INGREDIENTS in their product (for Extract only). That’s why they be called as One Thing.

Now let’s talk about Houttuynia Cordata.

Houttuynia a.k.a Eoseongcho or Heartleaf due to share of leaf like heart shape. Studies shows skin benefits of Heartleaf extract use on sensitive, oily-dehydrated and acne-prone skin. Houttuynia has fantastic humectants and skin hydrators to maintain the skin’s moisture levels. Houttuynia also has powerful anti-allergic properties beneficial for dermatitis/eczema-prone skin.

Usage(s)❓: I like to use it like my 1st treatment after cleansing step using cotton pad.

• This is amazing extract that i can explore it in many way. I can alter it as face mist, face pack and mix with my thick occlusive moisturiser to make it more lightweight.
• Houttuynia Cordata Extract also great to use as emergency spot treatment. Helps to soothe redness and reduce my acne.
• It’s happened when I was at my hometown and I forgot to bring also acne treatment. I soak Houttuynia Cordata Extract on cotton pad and place it on my acne for 15 minutes and the next morning, my acne slowly reduce and redness not so obvious. Lucky to have you in my stash.
• Even this extract has watery consistency but still able to give my skin hydration i want. I can layer it as much i can need.
• It gives smooth yet velvety like finish when i use it as hydrating toner. No tacky at all.
• It also fast absorb into skin so i don’t need to spare much time to take care my skin (I’m busy as always).

The exfoliator used in this mask is came from the Adzuki Bean granules that gently exfoliate skin (please avoid exfoliate on active acne).

Texture, Colour & Scent❓:
Moss green colored mask with soft, smooth yet creamy but thick consistency with soft adzuki bean granules. It has pleasure unique scent that hard to tell. Sometimes i think it has smell likes tea tree oil minty with scent of Adzuki Bean.

Packaging❓:
Sturdy bright green tub with spatula. I use spatula to scoop the mask but i prefer to spread mask using my finger.

Key Ingredient(s)❓:
Adzuki Bean Seed Powder, Kelp Extract, Artichoke Leaf Extract, Vigna Radiata Seed Extract,Houttuynia Cordata Extract and Nelumbo Nucifera Leaf Extract.

Usage(s)❓: Best apply after wash your face. Spread adequate amount then let it dry for about 15 minutes then rinse off with lukewarm water. I use tap water je.

#NikAcuCubaTryTest:
• Been using this mask for about 2 week (i guess ) and i like it because this mask didn’t dry like other clay mask i ever tried.
• It has Adzuki bean that acting as gentle exfoliator to remove dead skin cell and smooth skin surface without feel harsh.
• Not like other mask using water as main solvent, Axis-y Mugwort mask using 61% Artemisia Princeps Extract a.k.a Mugwort as main solvent. That’s why it called as Mugwort mask.
• Mugwort well-known for its antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties, soothes, heals, and nourishes the skin while helping treat redness, psoriasis, and other skin sensitivities. It also packed with antioxidants and vitamin E that help protect and nourish the skin barrier.
• Using kaolin as clay mask that has neutral pH for skin. That’s why I didn’t feel dry or tight during using this mask. During and after.
• Love how my skin looks brighter and pore looks much smaller after wash off the mask.
• This mask helps to get rid clog pores and clean it. The results is, my skin looks clean, fresh and feel smooth.
• For me this mask easy to rinse off when i apply thinly. If i apply thick, i found it took quite time to make sure i rinse them properly.

Teknik 155 diperkenalkan oleh founder thepastelsshop iaitu Sarini Zainal. Teknik ni lebih kurang macam #grittingmethod tapi #teknik155 tidak menggunakan clay mask dan BHA, cuma memerlukan makeup remover jenis oil based.

Non Emulsifying Cleansing Oil vs Emulsifying Cleansing Balm

#Teknik155 ni adalah teknik yang mana kita guna untuk buang oil plugs, blackhead atau whitehead dekat muka. Kadang-kadang kita guna cleansing oil pun tak dapat nak keluarkan oil plugs yang ada disebabkan oleh tempoh masa penggunaan cleansing oil yang sekejap masa kita nak buang mekap tu. Jadi #teknik155 ni akan deep and deep cleansing muka kita.

Contoh makeup remover jenis oil based yang boleh digunakan dalam #teknik155 ni adalah:

• Cleansing Oil – untuk cleansing oil ni kita boleh jenis non emulsify cleansing oil macam thepastelsshop Cymbo, face oil (Grapeseed oil, Rosehip oil, rice bran oil atau mana² face oil yang kita guna. Disarankan guna dari jenis pure oil). Lagi satu kita boleh gunakan emulsify cleansing oil yang normal kita pakai.
• Cleansing balm.

Alatan yang diperlukan:
1. Cleansing oil, face oil atau cleansing balm.
2. Air suam
3. Microfiber cloth yang lembut atau cotton pad.

Cara melakukan #teknik155 . Ni #teknik155 yang Nik cp dari Instagram thepastelsshop terus agar tiada kekeliruan.

1. Pilih Cleansing Oil kegemaran anda. Di dalam gambar ini, Pastels gunakan Skin Reset. Pastels lebih sukakan non-emulsifying Cleansing Oil untuk tujuan urutan, kerana ia lebih lembut dan kekal lama di wajah.
2. Urut pada muka yang kering. Urut selama 5-10 minit. Lenguh? Teruskan. Jika mampu, sehingga 20 minit atau apabila anda terasa wajah sedikit ‘suam’ dan timbul biji-biji halus. Paling elok, 15 minit.
3. Bersihkan tangan anda.
4. Ambil air suam, celupkan tangan, dan urutkan wajah. Ulang step ini beberapa kali sehingga rasa minyak pada muka berkurangan. Dalam 5 kali, cukup. Berkurangan ya, bukan hilang sepenuhnya.
5. Ambil cotton pad atau kain lembut, lapkan wajah anda. Jika bahagian hidung itu banyak whitehead /blackhead, tekan perlahan. Anda akan dapati blackhead serta whitehead sangat mudah keluar dengan banyaknya. Seperti gambar di atas.
6. Setelah berpuas hati, ambil pencuci muka, gosokkan di tapak tangan sehingga berbuih, kemudian urut muka.
7. Bilas dengan air, sehingga tiada rasa berminyak.

Ni pula cara Nik guna. Dengan muka dalam keadaan kering, kita massage muka menggunakan makeup remover oil based mcm cleansing oil (non emulsifying dan emulsifying cleansing oil), face oil, cleansing balm selama 15 minit atau hingga 20 minit guna masa sebelum cuci muka). Lepas tu tekap/lap muka dengan kain lembut mcm microfiber cloth yang dibasahkan dengan air suma atau guna cotton pad untuk lap muka. Lap lembut² je. Cotton pad tak perlu basahkan dengan air.

Teknik ni lebih kurang mcm gritting method tapi lebih #friendlybeginner tak perlu gunakan clay mask dan BHA. Just massage muka guna oil je.

Usually dalam 10 minit tu muka dah mula akan rasa seperti berpasir menandakan oil plugs/whitehead/blackhead mula keluar menunjukkan bahwa oil yang digunakan telah melakukan kerjanya.

I more prefer guna non emulsifying cleansing oil sebab oil macam ni lebih secure sebab ianya tidak emulsify walaupun kita berpeluh. Ada possibility normal cleansing oil yang kita guna akan emulsify bila kita berpeluh masa massage muka jadi kurang berkesan sikit.

Cleansing water, Micellar water, cleansing milk tak berkesan untuk digunakan dalam #teknik155 ni sebab untuk melakukan teknik ni, kita akan guna pakai concept “what attract what”. Dalam teknik ni kita mahukan attract oil/sebum dimuka jadi kena guna yang sama jenis jugak iaitu OIL.

Lagi satu, elakkan terburu-buru masa buat #teknik155 ni. Just relax and calm je. Anggap je tempoh masa 20 – 30 minit tu Me Time kita especially pada yang mahu gunakan cleansing oil jenis yang emulsify.

Result lepas buat #teknik155 ni, kita akan dapati muka rasa lebih lembut dan halus, pori nampak lebih kecil, bumps dimuka tak ketara sangat.

Teknik ni disarankan untuk digunakan sekali atau max 2x seminggu sahaja. Elakkan melakukan setiap hari takut skin barrier rosak. Seminggu sekali dua pun dah cukup dah.

OTMS? Apa tu??

Nik dah lama simpan review ni. Actually nak buat comparison review dengan 1 lagi brand tapi takpe la.. buat review untuk OTMS ni je la. Yang lepas biarkan berlalu (yang mana tahu, tahu la kes ni). Nik beli OTMS ni masa mengunjungi kedai Thepastelsshop last year. See… Lama dah beli mask ni tapi baru nak review. Draft dah lama buat dah.

OTMS best use within 6M but Nik jarang guna, jadi tak sempat nak abiskan dalam tempoh tersebut. Sebabkan banyak product nak kena try test and sebab OTMS ni tak serasi dengan kulit. Sebab apa? Teruskan membaca.

OTMS texture dia halus je. Boleh nampak texture espom salt dalam OTMS ni. Bau kelapa yang agak menyengat hidung bila dihidu. Macam bau masak lemak cili padi . Itu la 1st expression Nik bila buka penutup OTMS ni.

Kalau nak jadikan OTMS sebagai scrub pun tak jadi masalah sebab texture OTMS ni halus je. Tak kasar dekat kulit sebab tu ianya selamat dan lembut untuk acne skin.

Nik suka mix OTMS ni dengan watery toner. OTMS mudah untuk dibancuh dan tak mudah berketul. Guna sikit je air untuk sebatikan OTMS.

Biasalah kalau guna real kunyit, akan tinggalkan stain. Usually Nik akan pakai in between cuci muka. My way: makeup remover -> OTMS -> cleanser. So, stain kuning tu dapat dibersihkan.

This mask claim best for acne skin. Masa Nik beli dulu, memang skin tengah meragam. So, beli la sebab nak try since banyak feedback cakap acne heal.

OTMS hanya menggunakan 5 bahan sahaja iaitu Beras, Kunyit, Oat, Espom Salt dan Kelapa.

Yup. Semua ni adalah bahan yang mudah didapati disekeliling kita. Yang membezakan adalah combination dan ratio bahan yang digunakan.

Takde masalah nak buat sendiri sebab bahan yang digunakan jenis yang mudah dicari tapi untuk dapatkan kualiti adalah mustahil.

Nik punya version dari zaman sekolah cuma 3 bahan iaitu beras pulut, kunyit hidup yang dikeringkan dan oat. Yup. 3 bahan je and ianya serasi dengan kulit Nik .

Nik saje beli OTMS sebab nak tahu apa yang istimewa dan kelebihan OTMS.

However, i found this mask are not meant for me. Tiap kali pakai akan rasa gatal² merenyam. Nik pakai 2 kali seminggu. About the stain Nik tak kisah pun tapi part rasa gatal2 tu memang tak boleh nak compromise. Rasanya sebab espom salt dalam mask ni. For acne kecut ke tidak, for my skin OTMS seems like do nothing.

Masa zaman sekolah, Nik selalu buat my own version tumeric mask guna beras pulut + dried tumeric + oat. So, Nik nak rasailah perbezaan bila guna tumeric mask yang lain. My skin prefer yang tak letak espom salt. About the coconut dalam OTMS rasanya tak jadi masalah sebab Nik pernah guna kelapa as mask and takde timbul apa-apa masalah.

Well, bila mencuba sesuai product baru, YMMV adalah penting. Maybe pada orang lain, OTMS are their HG, but for my skin, taknak kawan.

Pada orang lain, OTMS the best acne product for them but for me, it doesn’t.

Usage(s)❓: “HOLO” Skin Hugging Sleeping Mask di pakai ketika last step dalam night routine. Nik pakai 3x seminggu je. Selang seli hari.

Make sure kacau dulu mask sebelum pakai untuk sebatikan lapisan putih dan jernih didalam sleeping mask. Lepas kacau, texture mask yang daripada nampak seakan jernih akan bertukar menjadi warna keputihan. Gunakan spatula yang disediakan untuk mengacau sleeping mask.

#NikAcuCubaTryTest:
• Pada awalnya Nik tak suka sebab tiap kali pakai jadi pilling even Nik include sleeping mask ni dalam my simplest skincare routine (Cleanser – Toner -“HOLO” Skin Hugging Sleeping Mask). Bila tergaru muka, jadi pilling. Tambah pula kalau cuaca panas, kulit lagi cepat rasa tak selesa.
• Rasa macam annoying, Nik simpan semula dalam kotak. Nasib baik shelf life product ni 2 tahun. Jadi tak risau kalau nak simpan lama.
• Bila baca few review dari other reviewers, Nik rasa mungkin teknik sapuan Nik yang salah. Salah satunya, Nik apply awal sangat dari masa nak tidur. Lepas mandi, Nik terus proceed dengan skincare routine sedangkan wakru tidur lambat lagi. Jadi bila berpeluh ke apa, jadi tak selesa.
• Tambah pula, skin condition Nik ketika itu agak teruk. Sebab itu Nik stop pakai untuk tempoh yang agak lama.
• Nik tak dapat nak terus pakai sebab masa tu skin tengah meragam teruk. Taknak include produk baru sehingga kulit pulih. Takut keadaan kulit jadi lebih teruk.
• Jadi, bila incorporate semula Holo Sleeping Mask ni, baru dapat rasa kelebihan produk ni. Sebelum ni tak dapat nak rasa dengan jelas disebabkan oleh masalah kulit tengah meragam.

• Bila pakai, after sleeping mask ni dah set dekat muka, dah meresap elok, Nik dapati, ada rasa macam kulit ni seperti ditarik. Tak sure adakah ini ‘skin hugging’ effect? If yes, ianya amat unik sekali.Tak pernah lagi bila pakai sleeping mask, akan rasa seperti ini.
• Bila sentuh kulit, terasa seperti ada 1 lapisan perlindungan diatas kulit. Seperti lapisan yang lembut tapi tak berminyak.
• So far pakai, skin rasa selesa dan takde tumbul masalah lain macam clog pore ke apa. Maknanya ianya tidaklah heavy or rich sangat untuk oily skin. Takut jugak bila pakai sleeping mask yang rich macam Holo Skin Hugging Sleeping Mask ni timbul masalah lain. Mintak jauh!
• Lepas cuci muka, esokkan paginya, skin terasa lembut, halus and bouncy gitu. Pori pun nampak tak ketara sangat. Lagi satu, ianya mudah untuk dibersihkan.
• Masa cuci muka tu, dapat rasa macam kita tengah bersihkan 1 lapisan seakan jelly pada muka.
• Overall, Nik suka dengan sleeping mask ni♥️. Kira boleh challenge international brand sleeping mask yang pernah Nik pakai.
• Cuma masalah 1 je la, kena apply right before nak masuk tidur. Kalau pakai awal, potensi untuk sleeping mask ni pilling akibat tersentuh atau tergaru muka adalah tinggi.

Rating❓: 4/5 – Less satu markah sebab masalah pilling. Yang lain tip top.

Repurchase❓: Jika keadaan mengizinkan. Memandangkan Nik ada banyak lagi sleeping mask yang belum dibuka, Nik nak habiskan dulu yang mana ada sebelum decide untuk repurchase atau sebaliknya.

I thought this serum has runny watery consistency like serum i always use but actually i found it has thick transparent gel like consistency. This serum also has quite strong flowery citrusy scent but it will disappear when applied. Even this serum thick gel texture but it melted away right away once it touches the skin.
It also smoothly glide on skin and fast penetrate into skin and also provide hydration to the skin.
However, this serum leaving skin little bit tackiness if you already had few layer skincare before that but if i apply this serum alone, after toner, it didn’t feel tacky. I also noticed that this serum helps to brighten up and soften my skin.
At the beginning i hate it but after couple times using it, i think i like it. However, due to thick consistency, i hate when it got messy at the dropper area. Much better if in pump bottle.

I really love this serum because it’s so hydrating! This serum has clear transparent gel like serum with granules. I’m not sure whatbkind of granules inside this serum but not to worry because this granules melted once i rubbed on my skin.
Even this serum has thick consistency, but it didn’t feel heavy at all. The gel texture melted upon apply on skin.
It also has nice flowery scent. Not too strong but maybe for some people they don’t like scented serum.
This serum hydrates my skin well and my skin felt so soft and bouncy. I didn’t experience tackiness or stickiness during using this serum.
This serum also goes well with my other serum and Ampoule.
Sometimes i use this serum to hydrate my skin during my mid-day routine.

Moat important point when i choose about toner it must be hydrating type, can brighten my skin and didn’t have Ingredients my skin hate. Gladly this toner meet all my aspect. It has consistency watery but slightly thicker than water. Can be use on cotton pad or by palm. I use both method. This toner kindly no scent detected even in Ingredients has Parfum.
I noticed that this toner has slightly satin-y slippery feel but it didn’t bothering me at all. As this toner contain vary of humectant, it also hydrates my skin well. This toner will provide you medium level (based on my skin) hydration. Not too light or too heavy. Just nice for all skin type.
I like how this toner absorb well into my skin, giving my skin hydration that my skin craved a lot.
I also didn’t experience tackiness when i use this toner.
It also helps to brighten and even out my skin complexion.

I kind of have love-hate relationship with this moisturiser. I like to use this cream moisturiser during rainy day as it cold day and my skin usually little bit dry on rainy day. Malaysia don’t have snow. This cream has thick texture. Quite rich and yet heavy for oily combination skin. It has white rich creamy consistency and it also has niced soft smell. Almost like no scent. Spread nicely on skin as it contains mango seed butter. Good emollient for dry skin.
This cream quite heavy for my oily skin but perfect for normal to dry skin.
I just put little amount and it moisturise my skin well. A pea size will be enough for my face.
For this moisturiser, i will go for simple routine since i found if i use this moisturiser in my heavy, multiple layering products, it didn’t sink into my just. It just sit on top my skin, making my skin looks like skin splashing with oil!
Since Malaysia have kind of hot weather, this cream somehow make my skin sweating and looks slightly greasy.
I also avoid to apply my face oil if i use this moisturiser because this moisturiser alone is just enough.
Even this Moisturiser quite rich and heavy for me, I’m glad that this cream didn’t break out my skin.
This cream contain Retinyl Palmitate, type of Vitamin A that great for anti aging. I also use this cream to Moisturise my dry body part like elbow, knee, foot and hand.

at first, I thought it was ampoule kind of thick in consistency but surprisingly it has runny yet watery consistency. I love how the texture fast absorb and didn’t leave film-y effect after product absorb into skin. My kind of always feel hot and easily sensitize and this ampoule help soothe my skin and giving light hydration. Just like the ampoule name ‘Soothing & Hydrating’. Its also help to reduce red mark (acne mark) on skin after few application, in around 2 days the red mark slowly gone. As i can noticed, thi ampoule help to reduce acne formation.

Overall, i like to use this ampoule in my soothing skincare regime.

• Each application I use 2 pump amount of the essence and it didn’t feel heavy at all.
• Quite hydrating essence and sometimes I like to skip my hydrating toner when using this essence because this Essence like 2in1 product for me, a hydrating toner cum treatment essence too.
• I like to apply extra amount of the essence at my eye area to replace my eye cream 來 and I found that fine lines on my eye area slowly reduced but i still need to consistent use eye treatment to maintain the skin’s elasticity.
• My skin felt more plumped and look radiant glow from within (okay, part nampak radiant glow tu I syok sendiri ).

Madernatural Trial Pack Moisturising Oil Cleanser + Hydrating Gel Cleanser Review

Bulan February lepas Nik terima 1 pek trial oil cleanser dan gel cleanser dari local brand iaitu Madernatural.

Pek trial kali ini merupakan formulation baharu. Sebelum ni Nik pernah try dah formulation lama tapi tak sesuai sangat.

Untuk formulation baharu, banyak penambahbaikan telah dibuat. Antaranya tidak lagi menggunakan rose oil. Kulit nik tak tolerate dengan rose oil, rose water dan apa-apa sahaja bahan daripada rose kecuali Rosehip dan rose geranium oil. Rose geranium oil ni bau je macam rose tapi bukan daripada pokok rose.

Usage(s)❓:
Shake dulu botol sebelum guna untuk sebatikan oil mixture didalamnya. Kaedah penggunaan sama seperti oil cleanser yang lain.

#NikAcuCubaTryTest:
Nik pernah try the old formulation cleansing oil from Madernatural tapi tak sesuai dengan kulit sebab ada rose oil. Namun begitu, formulation baharu tidak menggunakan rose oil lagi. So Nik boleh guna dengan tenang dan riang .
Berbau macam rose tapi bukan dari rose oil. Ianya daripada rose geranium oil.
Moisturising Oil Cleanser (MOC) kali ni pada Nik lagi best compare dengan yang lama. Dulu buat mata Nik pedih tapi yang sekarang ni tak pedihkan mata .
MOC memang berkesan untuk menanggalkan mekap even waterproof punya. Nik pernah test untuk remove liquid matte lipstick, mascara dan ianya tanggal dengan sempurna.
MOC dapat emulsify dengan baik dan mudah untuk dibilas.
Kulit tak rasa tegang even Nik just cuci muka guna MOC ni especially untuk midday routine. Ringkas kata, ianya melembabkan kulit juga.

#NikAcuCubaTryTest:
Nik suka dengan bau cleanser ni. Bau sweet sour orange yang natural kerana didalam cleanser ni menggunakan Orange Peel Oil.
Tekstur cleanser berwarna kuning oren yang cair, tapi right viscosity for a cleanser jenis liquid. Tak terlalu cair atau pekat. Just nice.
Senang untuk mix dengan air. Mudah larut dan senang untuk diratakan pada kulit.
Berbuih banyak tapi bukan jenis dense foam type.
Tak pedihkan mata.
Senang untuk dibilas dan tak meninggalkan sisa (film-y effect).
Tak buat kulit rasa kering malah kulit rasa lembut tiap kali guna.
Nik ada test pH cleanser iaitu ni sekitar pH4~5. Another good low pH cleanser to be chose.
